WHO SHOULD CARRY TOOLS? “Having remembered his tools and returned for them, who should carry the kit to the job—the plumber or his apprentice?” ancient “plumber” jest was re- . , vi ved by Mr. Justice Frazer in the Arbitration Court yesterday. “J. always hold,” said his Honour, ‘ that no self-respecting plumber should ever condescend to carry his own tools. He must have an apprentice to carry them for him.” The case before the court was a request that the area of the Apprentices Committee’s jurisdiction should be extended to include all the area within 20 miles of Auckland City.
