ORAKEI SECTIONS
SALE BEFORE CHRISTMAS FURTHER LEGISLATION NECESSARY TT is hoped that the sections of A the Orakei Model Suburb will be ready for sale before Christmas. Further legislation is necessary before arrangements for the sale can be completed, but it is expected that this will go through Parliament before the end of the present session. At present the work of laying out the model suburb is going ahead rapidly. Stxeets and avenues are being formed, and spaces are being left for parks and reserves along the lines of a model suburb as devised by the present method of town-planning. Orakei’s situation should make it one of the most beautiful suburbs imaginable. it is near the sea, reasonably close to the city and has excellent views of the surrounding country and the harbour.
