FANCY DRESS BALL AT PURU
A very successful fancy dress ball 'yas held at Puru, Thames Coast, on Saturday evening. The hall was gaily aeoorated and the many fancy dresses lent more colour to the scene. The judges were Mrs. Grace, Mrs. A’oble and Mr. Haddyn Burton, who awarded prizes as follows: Best Costume, Ladies. —Miss Ruzich Miss Spring. Original Costume, Ladies. —Miss Gill, Lap and Bells. Best Costume, Gentlemen’s. —Mr. Taylor, as Answer. Original Costume, Gentlemen’s. —Mr. Collings, "Who Said Burglars?” Other costumes were: Mrs. Bovard, Star Bov; Mrs. Thompson, Twilight; Mrs. Louden. Work Bag; Mrs. Autridse, Rumanian Lady; Mrs. McTagSart. ’Arriet; Miss Park, ’Arry; Mrs. Mundy. Eastern Lady; Miss Oakley, Pack of Cards; Miss McMahon, Night: Miss Runciman, Black and White Whisky; Miss Hughes, Red Rose; Miss W. Hedley, Rainbow; Miss E. Hedley, Ribbons; Miss Lowden, Pash ions for Miss Thornton, C’hirtose Mandarin; Miss Ritchie, Pierrette; Miss 0. Wilton, Flower; Miss E. Clark. Question; Miss Lowe, Queen of Hearts; Mr. D.
