JUDGE’S CRITICISM “It is obvious that the regulations need overhauling, and it is for the department to give a satisfactory working definition of what is meant by ‘dismantling/ and then it would be reasonable to prosecute people for not coming up to the standard/’ TpHUS Mr. Justice Stringer, in the A Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, when he upheld *t:o appeal against the decision of Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. The appellant was A. W. Thomas, who was convicted and lined £2 ancL. costs by Mr. Hunt. The question had also come before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., who declined to differ from Mr. Hunt. The appeal was brought on the grounds that there w«ls no evidence to justify a conviction. * In allo wing the appeal without costs, his Honour held that the appellant had dismantled in a reasonable manner and did not; attempt to avoid payment of fees.
