Party Feeling Running High
SITTING ON MONDAY WAS THERE BREACH OF FAITH ? (THE SUN'B Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Party feeling in Parliamentary Circles is running high just now as a result of an unpleasant inci> dent which happened in the House of Representatives on Friday evening when Labour members alleged that the Prime Minister, in moving that the House sit tonight, had broken an agreement that had been made between the parties earlier in the evening. Opposition members naturally felt ths situation keenly, but quite a number of Government members have expressed themselves annoyed and dissatisfied with the action of the Prime Minister in not warning, even his own Party, that he was going to the House assembled to-night. This has given rise in the lobbies to the belief that if the Government endeavours to put the House intc committee of supply to-night to discuss the estimates there will be a hold-up of business. H Labour and Nationals essay a stonewall it will be interesting to see how far they aj*e supported by Government members who conside • that Mr. Coates had broken his word The sitting is almost certain to be a long one.
