SUPERINTENDENT MURRAY DEAD

36 YEARS IN THE FORCE Press Association. DUNEDIN, To-day. The death of Police-Superintendent Murray at the age of 60 has occurred, following an operation. Superintendent Murray joined the police force 36 years ago, serving first on the clerical staff at Christchurch. He succeeded the late Superintendent W. Mathieson at Dunedin last December. The late superintendent enjoyed good health till three weeks ago, when an operation was found necessary.
