BRITISH GRAND PRIX FINE RECORD OF BENOIST By Cable. — Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Saturday. At the Brooklands track, in rain and half a gale, the British motoring Grand Prix race over 125 laps, equal to 327 miles, was held to-day, in which 11 competitors started, nine French and two British. The event was won by the Frenchman, Benoist, driving a Delage car. His average speed was 85.59 miles an hour. Both the British competitors who drove Thomas special cars, retired before half-way. Benoist now holds the Grand Prix of Italy, France and Britain.—A. and N.Z.-Suri. “LITTLE WARRNAMBOOL” CYCLE RACE AT GEELONG By Cable.—Press Association.—-Copyright MELBOURNE, Sunday. The 50 miles open cycle race at Geelong yesterday, known as the Little Warrnambool, resulted as follows:—W. Veitch, Victoria, 1; A. Oram, Victoria, 2; F. Arklay, Victoria, 3. Won by a length.
