Auckland Club Conditions were ideal for g:olf at Middlemore on Saturday afternoon, when the club championship semi-finals and the final round of the E. R. Bloomfield bowl competitions were played by members of the Auckland Golf Club. The course was ;in good order, and some excellent cards ! were returned. The play in the final round of the Bloomfield Bowl competition did not affect the result, as none of the players could equal the score already recorded by I>. Robertson. The scorers on Saturday afternoon were 3j& follow:—E. J. Richardson, 90—20, 70; E. Horton, 84—12, 72; M. M. Louisson, 91 —lB, 72; G. H. Abel, 79—5, 74; C. Archer, 84r—10, 74; W. Wilson, 86—11, 75; D. McCormack, Sl— s, 76; P. M. Hanna, 90—14, 76. The winner of the medal competition of three rounds was R. F. Johnston, with a net score of 233. In the semi-finals of the club championship there was some good golf. H. Tidmarsh beat R. G. Rainger, 1 up, and H. B. Lusk beat H. L. Rees, 5 and 4. Lusk did an excellent round of 72. Lusk and Tidmarsh will now meet in the final. The junior championship resulted in a victory for B. C. Haxt, who played excellent golf to beat I>. Poison, 4 and 2. In the C grade competition, F. P. Ballin was played by members of the Maungakiekie Golf Club on Saturday. The course, was in excellent order and the scoring was very good. H. Broadbent and E. W. Griffiths were the winners, with the exceptionally fine score of 12 up. They were followed by H. Holdgate arid H. Jenkins, 9 up; W. Aitken and W. Cain, 8 up; W. J. Thompson and H. McCoy, 6 up; and R. An inter-club match between members of the Pukekohe and Everslie Golf Clubs, to decide the holders of the Balfour Irvine Cup for this season, took place on the Pukekohe links to-day.
