CAPITOL
SPLENDID PROGRAMME Somethin*; new in spicy modern pictures is offered at the Capitol Theatre, where “Butterflies in the Fwain” is the current feature. Thin show opened to a well-merited iudience last night, and Miss Laura La Plante and James Kirkwood kept the crown gripped from fade-in to fade-cut. Miss La Plante glides through the picture like a beautiful comet throwing an aura of fascinating sheen about herself. James Kirkwood gives an admirable portrayal of an aristocratic Englishman, unaffected by the modern upsetting of conventions. He makes the perfect idealist and carried out his part with the perfection of technique that one has come to expect of Kirkwood. An excellent supporting cast includes Dorothy Cummings, Robert Ober, Dorothy Stokes, Edward Davis, Clarence Thompson and Ruby Lafayette. "Tie Lady of the Harem,” starring Ernejit Torrence and Greta Nissen, is also belrg shown.
