FOX STUDIOS ARE LIKELY TO BE BUSY
EIGHT COMPANIES WORKING WITH eight companies working at Fox Films West Coast Studios, and with several other companies scheduled to start within the immediate future, this producing concern is now one of the busiest spots on the Pacific Coast, according to Sol M. Wurtzel, general superintendent. Mr. Wurtzel announced that the fall and winter months would find some of the best-known directors and actors actively engaged with Fox pictures. Among the directors now in work are John Ford, Albert Ray, Howard Hawks, John G. Blystone, David Butler, Alfred E. Green, Zion Myers, Robert Ray and others. Stars and featured players now in productions include Olive Borden, Lois Moran, Janet Gaynor, Greta Nissen, Charles Farrell, Glenn Tyron, Tom Mix, Buck Jones, Edmund Lowe, Earl Foxe, Lawrence Gray, Nick Stuart, Sally Phipps and Richard Walling. Others scheduled to start int Vie near future include Madge Bellamy, Clifford Holland and Mary Duncan. Included in the list of current productions are “Two Girls Wanted,” directed by Alfred E. Green; “Publicity Madness,” by Albert Ray; “Grandmother Bernle Learns Her Letters,” by John Ford. “Pajamas,” by J. G. Blystone; sl high school story, by David Butler, and “Bride of the Night,” by Howard Hawks. James Tinling is launching his; first dramatic production for William Fox. In the cast will be Miadge Bellamy, Clifford Holland and Mary Duncan.
