LAWN TENNIS
The annual meeting of the St. Luke’s Lawn Tennis Club was held on Thursda3 r . Mr. H. B. Burnett presided over a good attendance. The treasurer’s report showed the club to be in a good financial position. Trophies, presented by Mr. W. J. Fletcher and Mr. W. Andrew, were won by Mr. S. Robertson and Miss L. Coutts. The following officers were elected: Patron, Rev. J. A. Thomson; president, Mr. H. B. Burnett; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. J. Fletcher, J. Dempsey, W. Andrew, J. A. Robertson, S. Donaldson, and Misses M. Bond, M. Galloway and D. Dempsey. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 29.
