LATE MRS. MARY TUOHEY
Mr. Tuohey had been a soldier in the Joseplfs Home, Ponsonby, this week, at the age of 80, was born in County Kildare, Ireland, and came to Auckland with her husband,, the late Mr. John Tuohey, in 1874. Mr. Toukey had been a soldier in the Indian Army. Before going to the Waikato, where Mr. Tuohey was engaged in laying the railway line, the family lived for some time in the Albert Barracks. Employed in Auckland for many years as a coach-builder, Mr. Tuohey retired about 20 years ago, but in 1919 was killed in an accident in Queen Street. For the past three years Mrs. Tuohey had been an invalid in St. Joseph’s Home. She is survived by two sons, Messrs. John and James Tuohey, Auckland, and four daughters, Mrs. A. Adams, Ponsonby, Mrs. A. Bain, Sydney, Mrs. John MbCabe, Sydney, and Sister Marguerite, who is in Holy Orders in Belgium. There are 27 grandchildren and seven great-grand-children.
