MANUREWA METHODISTS
A very successful concert was tendered in the Manurewa Town Hall on Thursday night by a company of pierrots, who journeyed from Papatoetoe. The proceeds of the entertainment were in aid of the club’s funds. There was a good attendance of members and friends present, who thoroughly enjoyed the programme submitted, demanding encores for the majority of the items. The programme was as follows: Opening chorus, the company: solo, Mr. H. Elder: male quartette, Messrs. H. Elder, W. Sanderson, L. J. Kendall. J. Sanderson; duet. Misses Bryant and Sanderson; some humour, Mr. W. Sanderson; solo, Mr. J. Sanderson: humorous sketch, Miss M. Bryant, Messrs. J. Sanderson, L. J. Kendall; duet, Messrs. L. J. Kendall and W. Sanderson. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. J. Sanderson and Miss K. Bryant. A dainty supper was dispensed by the members of the social club.
