YACHT SQUADRON’S 56TH ANNUAL MEETING

SEASON’S PROSPECTS BRIGHT

There was a large attendance at the 56th annual meeting of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron held last evening. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the commodore, Mr. J. W. Frater, congratulated the squadron on its successful past season. Prospects for the coming season were particularly bright. A number of valuable trophies had been given for competition. A suggestion had been put forward that an "all-in race” should be held for auxiliaries this year. The social side of the club had been well looked after and a scheme for extending the premises was now under consideration. Members referred with gratification to the passing of the Daylight Saving Bill. It was decided to forward a telegram of congratulation to Mr. T. K. Sidev. M.P.
