Ryan. Ladies’ Inter-Club The inter-club match played between the Akarana and Waitemata Ladies’ Golf Clubs resulted in Akarana winning nine games and losing ‘five. Te Awamutu Play (From Our Own Correspondent) TE AWAMUTU, Thursday. | The final round of the Archeen Cup, played this week, resulted in a win for W. Douglas, whose rounds were 92, 98; total 190—42—142. Williams and McDonald were next with nett scores of 149. The best of two eight gross cards were handed in by M. The best junior grade score was that of Airs. O’Sullivan, 107—31, 76. The following is the draw for the L.G.U. medal handicap: Aliss Focfce v. Aliss Woolly; Airs. Blundell v. Aliss Alontefiore; Aliss Clifford v. another. The first round of the eclectic handicap is to be played before Saturday, October 8, and the following are eligible for this match: Those with L.G.U. wins, and Alesdames L. Peake and R. Jones; Whyte and A. F. Walker Alisses W. Manson and Jefferson. Players may choose their own partners. In connection with the C grade eclectic match of 18 holes for a trophy donated by Mrs. Jones, the first round is to be played by October 8. Players may choose their own partners. The Otorohanga stroke golf competition for the trophies presented by the ladies’ captain, Aliss Lawson, and men’s captain, Mr. G. H. Fry, were won by Airs. Simms, 85, and Air. Griffiths, 74. The semi-final of the men’s championship will be played on October 1.
