WEDDING IN THE TOWER
BRIDE GIVEN AWAY BY WARDER-FATHER IN HIS STATE ROBES Wearing his scarlet-and-gold State dress, Yeoman Warder Austen gave his daughter away when she was married in the Chapel Royal of St. Peter «d Vincula, in the Tower of London recently. The bridegroom was Mr. John Beames, of Feltham, a member of the orchestra of the Olympic. Only one warder, in addition to Mr. Austen, was able to attend the weddirg. The others were on duty, but to make up for having missed the ceremony they attended the reception held later in the day at the Casemates, the bride's home.
