From this point feeder buses will be available to convey patrons to the Races, and will return after the Races to Hunter's Store to enable usual return to city by bus. Trains stopping at Suburban Stations: Leave Auckland: * Arrive Papatoetoe: 12.32 p.m. 12.44 p.m. 12.13 p.m. . 12.53 p.m. Cars will ply for hire from Papatoetoe Station to the Races, and for return after the Races to catch return trains from Papatoetoe. In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” “The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,” and Amendments and Regulations made thereunder respectively. The Body Corporate of the Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Mount Eden, known as the Mount Eden Borough Council, hereby give notice in terms of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” that they propose to engage in the following undertaking and being unable to provide the necessary funds for the work out of the ordinary revenue of the Mount Eden Borough Council, they propose to raise a Special Loan of £IOO,OOO for the following pur pose:—■ (a) For the construction of Permanent Drainage and Sewerage Works within the Borough and for the payment of the Council’s proportion of the cost of works beyond the Borough which are required to provide an outfall. (b) For the purpose of securing the repayment of the said Special Loan a Special Annually Recurring Rate of Sixpence Halfpenny in the £ will be made and levied on the ratable value of all ratable property in the Borough. (c) It is proposed to make such loan repayable in 36i years and to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of 1 per cent, per annum. (d) It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys the preliminary expenses in connection with the scheme for which the loan is proposed and the cost of raising the loan but no interest and sinking fund. In pursuance of Section 11 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” I hereby give notice that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Mount Eden will be taken on the proposal to raise the above-men-tioned Lftan on WEDNESDAY, the 26th day of October, 1927, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Dated this 21st day of September, 1927.
