GRAND
LON CHANEY IN “MR. WU” Stage experience is a very valuable aid to playing a role in a screen drama of the Orient —if one happens to have gleaned the stage experience there. Two actors in Lon Chaney’s new starring vehicle, "Mr. Wu,” coming to tiiG Grand Theatre, have had that odd distinction. They are Holmes Herbert, who plays the British millionaire in the strange mystery play, and C laude King, who plays the Scottish mentor of a mandarin. Herbert, while on the stage, toured China with a road company. King, a famous British stage actor, played China in "Old Heidelberg." William Nigh, director of "The Fire Brigade," directed the new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer feature, the cast of which includes Renee Adoree, Gertrude Olmsted. Anna May Wong, Ralph Forbes, Mrs. Wong Wing, and others of note.
