“HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER” Uproarious comedy touches vie with spectacular stunts in “Hands Acrosn the Border,” Fred Thomson’s latest production, released by Master Pictures, in which the F. B. O. star and Silver Ring are now appearing. The background of the whole picture Is ablaze with colour, romance and speed, and it gives Mr. Thomson perhaps the most picturesqus role he has played £ince “That Devil, Quemaco.” Frank M. Clifton’s story contains -a wealth of humorous situtaions and amusing incidents. One of the very good reasons for the exceptional interest displayed in “The Show,” a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture, which will also be shown tonight at the Empire Theatre, is the fact that Renee Adoree, the heroine of “The Big Parade,” is again playing opposite John Gilbert.
