Motor-Cyclists in Collision

RIDERS SERIOUSLY INJURED BOTH MEN IN HOSPITAL Press Association. WHAKATANE, To-day. A motor-cycle collision, resulting in serious injury to both riders, occurred at Oporurio at 8 o’clock last night. The injured men were conveyed to Whakatane Hospital. Isaac Watson, a farm hand, had his left thigh broken and the lower part of his left leg fractured in several places. Percy Reeve, also a farm hand, is suffering from slight concussion and the fracture of both bones of the lower part of the left leg. Both machines were badly smashed. This is the fifth or sixth motor-cycle accident which has occurred in the district lately, and on each occasion injuries have been sufferßd by riders, necessitating treatment at the -hospital. In practically . all cases the injuries have been fractures.
