STRAND
“FOOTLOOSE WIDOWS” In Warner Bros.’ production of “Footloose Widows,” featuring Louise Fazenda, Jacqueline Logan and Jason Robard, Miss Fazenda came under the direction of Roy Del Ruth for the second time within six months. Although these two have had a long friendship which began some years ago on the Mack Sennett lot where Louise became famous as the foremost of slap-stick comediennes and Roy as one of the leading two-reel comedy directors, it was not until they were reunited on the Warner Bros.’ lot that Miss Fazenda came under his direction in Wa.rner Bros.* production f “Hogan’s Alley,** in which she ►layed a frivolous Broadway chorine. In “Footloose Widows” Miss Fazenda las her greatest role as a smartlyIressed New York shop girl, ambitious and gay-hearted. She wears tunningly a dozen superb creations—he latest from Paris. It is one of her ew d.ress-up parts, in which her more elicate and subtle capacities for drolery are displayed to their best ad vanage. The picture will be shown for the ast time to-night at the Strand.
