DISCONTENTED DOCTORS

PAY IN MAIN HOSPITALS Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Wed. “The medical superintendent reports that the junior medical staff of the Christchurch Hospital are restless and discontented,” stated the Hospital Committee in a report to the North Canterbury Hospital Board to-day. The report added: —“One member of the staff has resigned to take up an appointment at the Southland Hospital, at a very largely-increased remuneration. “The disturbance on the staff is undoubtedly brought about by the fact that the secondary hospitals pay very much higher salaries than do the hospitals in the four main centres.”
