PROPOSALS REJECTED • The-peril taken yesterday by the Glen Eden Town Board upon a proposal to raise a lean- of €2.000 for metalling and • improving Glayburn, Waima and Brandon Roads, was defeated. The voting was: —For the proposal. 95: against, 118. Of the 225 votes cast eight were informal.
