POLITICIAN’S RESIGNATION.—Tho resignation from a seat in the House of Commons of Mr. J. Wheatley, Labour M.P. for the Shettleston division of Glasgow, is reported. In the Labour Government of 1924 he was Minister of Health. The resignation is attributed to his unsuccessful action for an alleged libel in which he sought £6,000 damages.
