PRINCESS
“THE WEDDING SONG” Never was any motion picture more warmly approved by any local audience than “The Wedding Song.” Alan Hale’s melodramatic contribution to the screen, starring Beatrice Joy, which is being shown at the Princess Theatre. Finely staged, massive, excellently produced, ancl the characters artistically portrayed, the picture proved a winner from the start. To reveal the plot of this fascinating photoplay would be unfair to the reader. It is sufficient to say that the story deals with island life in the tropies and in the underworld of San Francisco. Miss Joy as a girl crook who is bent upon robbing the man she learns to love of his ropes of pearls, is charming. The picture is fairly packed with thrilling and appealing scenes, relieved by wholesome comedy touches. The supporting cast is quite adequate, the work of Robert Ames, who is featured, being admirable. “Arizona Bound,” featuring Gary Cooper, is also being shown.
