BENEFIT CONCERTS
RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYED A determined effort is being made to relieve the unemployed position by a series of entertainments under the auspices of the Auckland Unemployment Association. A performance by Olive Ross and her musical comedy company will be given at Henderson this evening. Other performances are to be given at. Northcote on Wednesday evening and at Manurewa on Thursday evening. The Auckland Unemployment Association is also working In conjunction with the Thos. A. O’Brien theatres. A proportion of the receipts of the tickets sold is devoted to the unemployment cause. The total receipts are to be handed to the Mayor for the unemployment fund.
