In a boxing contest this evening Harry Casey. lOst. 1021 b., of Queensland professional middle-weight champion of New Zealand, retained his titje by knocking out Artie Hay. lOst. :251b.. of Napier, in the sixth round, with a left-hand blow to the solar plexus. At the time Huy was well ahead on points. Casev recently won the title from Tactile McDonald. From being regarded as a rather ordinary tighter when he first arrived in New Zealand. Casey has rapidly ,-ome to the front in the past year or so. Boxing men well abo\e his own weight Casev has developed into a maser of in-fighting, with a dangerous sunch. Both he and Hay are really weiter- weights. Hay being the present holder of the welter title.
