Serious internal injuries were suffered by H. Jacobs, captain of the Horowhenua Rugby football team, during the final match for the Nash Cup. played at Levin on Saturday. Jacobs fell upon the elbow of another player and, although feeling unwell, continued to play. He was removed to the hospital later and operated upon. His condition is reported to be fairly satisfactory.—Press Association.
