ID. •dcL»‘od visited the Oiini settlement, ind was met by deputations from local residents and the Mangawara River Board. T he latter’s representatives pointed c ’Ut that a loan of £ 500 had been raised for deepening drains and they asked for Government assistance. It was further stated that Mr. W. Henry had offered a site of 4J acres for a school, but the question arose as to V *vr ther the site was central enough. Hr. McLeod promised to give these Questions every consideration.
