STUDIED BY ORATIA SOCIETY The study of saered music occupied the attention of members at an interesting evening conducted by the Oratia Young People’s Society. Papers pertaining to the subject were read by Misses Cochrane and Perkins, the lastmentioned dealing with “Some Familiar Hymns and Their Authors.” Some of the hymns reviewed were sung by the combined throng. Subsequently a general discussion revealed a v ide knowledge of composers of sacred music.
