RESULT OF WEAK HEART EVERY PRECAUTION TAKEN (From Our Own Correspondent.) At the coroner’s inquest held regarding the de.Ath of Alexander Rob?rt Aitkin, whc died suddenly whilst under an anaesthetic in a Waihi dental rocm, medical evidence showed that death was caused by heart faflure, due to the effect of anaesthetic on a weak and diseased heart. A post-mortem examination disclosed fatty infilti*ation and also a diseased valve of the heart. No foreign substance was found in passages of either throat or lungs. The coroner Mr. W. M. Wallnut, said that the evidence proved that every precaution necessary had been taken in he administration of the anaesthetic and that every effort possible had been made in the attempt to restore life. The verdict returned was in accordance with the medical evidence.
