MAKINGS OF A FINE WATERING PLACE
NORTH SHORE AMBITIONS According to what Mr. A. Slinger told the executive of the newly-formed North Shore Expansion League, at luncheon to-day, North Shore has the makings of one of the finest watering places in the world. Mr. Slinger was engineer to several seaside resorts in England. s The executive discussed a report from Mr. O. Moeller and the secretary, Mr. T. Walsh, on the campaign for the next two years. It was decided to raise £4OO for the campaign, £ 200of which has been offered by the Devonport Ferry Company. A series of meetings will be held in the various centres of the shore area, and the league intends to take up the co-operation of Northcote, Birkenhead, Devonport and Takapuna.
