LATE MR. H. N. OLSEN

Mr. Hans Nicholas Olsen, of Otaliuhu who died on Saturday at the age of 88, was born in Denmark, and. after travelling round the Northern Hemisphere arrived in Melbourne at the age of 23. Later he came to New Zealand, settling in Hunstan, Otago, but after 12 months there returned to Victoria, where he spent three years in mining. He then came back to the Dominion, and for several years was engaged in mining at Hokitika. He again journeyed to Australia and settled in Ross. Queensland, where for 14 years he was engaged in the hotel business. For the past 19 years he had lived at Otahuhu.
