Y.M. Surprises Thistle
ODD GOAL VICTORIES Ponsonby Wins Chatham Cup SATURDAY furnished one of the Soccer surprises of the season when Y.M.C.A. defeated the champions, Thistle, by the odd goal in seven after a hard game. Ponsonby won the Chatham Cup in Wellington from Northern (Otago) by the odd goal in five, after leading by three to nil at half-time. In the senior championship Qnehunga won by default from Tramways, while Shore beat Diomede in a friendly match by a goal to nil.
