A Record-Breaking Season Auckland Scoops the Pool Rugby, League, Soccer and Hockey THJ3 victory of the Ponsonby Soccer team at Wellington on Saturday in the final of the Chatham Cup, which carries with it the club championship of New Zealand, furnished the final chapter in a record-breaking season for winter sport in Auckland. In Union Rugby, League Rugby, Association football end hockey, Auckland claims the championship of New Zealand. The Auckland Rugby representatives had a wonderful season, winning ten matches on end, without a loss. The League reps, finished last week a tour of both islands in which they won all their matches. In Soccer, Auckland holds both the English Trophy and "he Chatham Cup, emblematic of provincial and club championship supremacy for the whole of the Dominion In hockey, Auckland holds the New Zealand Challenge Shield the New Zealand Junior Championship Cup, and the Rankin Memorial Cup for secondary schools.
