SCHOONER RESOLUTION SOLO.— It is reported that the auxiliary two-mast id schooner Resolution was sold by her owners, the Morse-Fairbanks Co., yesterday. The name of the buyer has not yet been disclosed, nor have the terms been made public. The Resolution was built about 18 months ago by the islanders of Norfolk Island under the supervision of Mr. C. Bailey, jun. She has been anchored in the stream for some months now, but was brought over to Albert Wharf on Thursday. After undergoing a tuning up she went on a trial trip round the harbour, and as a result changed hands. Ambulance Day. —The Mayoress of Auckland, Mrs. A. D. Campbell, will organise the street collection for the St. John Ambulance on Friday. November 4. The suburbs will also be canvassed on that day. ' Remanded to Wellington. —John Laurence Shearer, aged 28, was charged at the Police Court to-day with obtaining a dinner suit by false pretences. He was remanded to appear at Wellington next Thursday.
