NEWMARKET WELCOMES BOY FOOTBALLERS

RECEPTION BY MAYOR The visiting Waikato Primary Schools’ League football team, which played in the curtain-raiser at Carlaw Park this afternoon, arrived in Auckland this morning. The Waikato boys were welcomed at Newmarket by the Mayor, Mr. S. Donaldson, who entertained them at morning tea. Mr. A. J. Coulam, chairman of the Primary League Schools’ Football Committee, and Mr. R. E. Newport, president of the Newmarket Rugby League Football Club, also welcomed the visitors. The manager of the visiting team, Mr. F.. R. Catley, expressed thanks on behalf of the boys.
