HINEMOA GALLANTLY WEATHERS A GALE

f RESPITE Her half century of busy years, there is still plenty of life in the Government steamer H i nemoa.

On Her last trip to Norfolk Island she struck a gale the second day out from Auckland.

The Hinemoa was hove to for a time, Heavy seas were breaking over her deck, and the wind was blowing with considerable force. But the gallant little ship took it like a yacht. She behaved splendidly in the heavy seas, and came through without injury.

The Hinemoa’s officers are prouder than ever of a ship which has made history in the Pacific.
