THE MAYOR’S FUND

ADMINISTRATION WORK PERSONNEL OF COMMITTEE The Mayor’s unemployment fund has reached £694. A meeting has been convened for this afternoon to discuss the expending of the fund and to set up a citizens’ committee. The personnel includes the chairmen of the various committees of the council, and Messrs. A. S. Bankart, A. Court, H. Frost, W. J. Holdsworth, A. G. Lunn, R. B. Lusk, H. R. Mackenzie, L. Marks, O. Nicholson, A. Spencer, G. H. Wilson and H. Horton. PROPOSED WORKS. It is proposed that the money raised should be spent on one of the city reserves, the suggestion of the Mayor being that it should be spent in improving the present basin-like area lying in waste under the old Mount Eden Mill at Epsom, a site which only requires labouring work to form a fine play area.
