CAR THROUGH WINDOW

SMASH AT NEWMARKET A motor-car driven by Mr. R. M. August, of Favona Road, Mangere, crashed through the plate-glass window of a fish shop in Broadway yesterday. The shop, which is owned by Mrs. H. Coyle, was damaged considerably. Two verandah posts were snapped off and thrown through the glass, and a large part of the tiling inside was displaced. The engine of the motor was damaged and the car had to be towed away.
