20 YEARS’ SERVICE WITH GEORGE COURT’S
PRESENTS FOR EMPLOYEES Following their usual practice of marking the 20th year of every employee’s service, the directors of George Court’s, Ltd., Karangahape Road, gave a smoke concert in Scots Hall last evening as the setting for a presentation to three members of the staff who have completed 20 years with the firm. Messrs. C. H. Court and J. A. Court made the presentations of binoculars to Mr. G. Onyon and gold watches to Messrs. L. Trembach and J. Garner. Mr. C. M. Court also took the opportunity of saying farewell to Mr. Symonds, of the firm's London office, who is to sail for England on Tuesday. Mr. G. F. Court who occupied the chair, referred to the happy relations that had always subsisted between the staff and the directorate. The male staff of George Court’s was present in force and the various wholesale houses and tndentors of the city were also well represented. Songs were sung by Messrs. C. Pearce, Garry, and R. Jenkin, Bern Bailey, J. McDougall, Ophi.r Reese and Massey. Recitations and humorous items were given by Messrs. Finlay son, Griffiths
