HINDENBURG MAY RETIRE PERSISTENT RUMOURS By Cabll. —Press Association.—Copyright BERLIN, Wednesday. There are persistent rumours to the effect that when President Hindenburg reaches the age of 80, which he will do on October 2, he will retire from the Presidency, but party Influences may change his intention. The Nationalists are anxious for him to retain the position, as they fear his successor might not be so sympathetic to Nationalism, while the Industrialists are afraid that the electorate, in its present mood, might return an ultra-Liberal.—A. and N.Z.
