“MY BEST GIRL”

NEW PICKFORD FILM Hobart Bos worth is the latest addition to the cast of Mary Bickford’s “My Best Girl,” now being filmed at the United Artists’ Studios. The wellknown character actor will play the role of father to Charles Rogers, the youthful screen sensation, who is Miss Bickford’s leading man. “My Best Girl” set a new record in that it was nearly half finished before the supporting players were selected. Director Sam Taylor “shot” for more than six weeks on sequences which included the mammoth five and ten cent store interior, as well as one of the largest and most elaborate down-town street scenes ever built. Although a thousand extras were used in some of these scenes, there were no principals other than Miss Bickford and Rogers.
