MR. BALDWIN’S REST
HOLIDAY PROLONGED A UNIVERSITY DEGREE By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright RUGBY, Tuesday. The Prime Minister. Mr. Baldwin, has decided to prolong his stay at Aix-les-Bains until next week, as no urgent business has arisen to necessitate a curtailment of his one month's holiday. The position created by the resignation of Viscount Cecil of the office of Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster will be considered when Mr. Baldwin returns. The engagements of the Prime Minister for next month include a visit to Birmingham University, where a degree will be conferred upon him at a ceremony over which Lord Cecil, as chancellor of the university, will preside.—A. and N.Z.
