TOUCHED LIVE WIRE HASTINGS, To-day. Walter Leicester, an employee of the Havel ck- North Town Board came, into contact with a live wire while working at the top of an electric light pole. He received a shock which.threw him from the pole. Fortunately his mate was at the botom of the ladder and broke his fall. His injuries necessitated medical attention and he is new confined to his bed. BURGLARS FOR SENTENCE Sydney Ashenden and Henry Richard Jeffrey, both aged 28, who were captured while breaking into a shop at the corner of Dominion road anc! Mt. Albert Road early Sunday morning pleaded guilty at the Police Court this afternoon and were committed to the Supreme Court for sentenc** POoT OFFICE THEFTS Arthur Joseph Murdoch, aged 17, who appeared at the Police Court this afternoon, pleaded guilty to six charges cf theft. Five of the charges related to sums cf money amounting to £4 105* stolen from the Onehunga Post Office, where accused was employed as mesenger. The sixth' charge was of theft of £1 from North Brothers. was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
