Brothers Burned to Death in Shocking Otago Tragedy
RETURNED TO FIND VALUABLES Press Association. DUNEDIN, To-day. A SHOCKING tragedy in which two brothers were burned to death is reported from Waitahuna. Two brothers and their sister, all of middle age, named Ryan, lived in a house in the township, and at three o’clock this morning woke to find the place on fire. All three escaped but, remembering that money and valuables had been left within, one brother re-entered the burning house. When he failed to reappear, the other brother went in search of him, also failing to return. When it was possible to investigate, the brothers were found dead close to each other.
