AUCKLAND PETITIONS TO PARLIAMENT
(THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter j WELLINGTON. To-day. Recommendations on a number of Auckland petitions were reported to the House by various committees today. The petition of Frederick Peters, of Otahuhu. for a free passage to Dunedin to enable him to sit for a dental examination, was referred to the Government for favourable consideration. Similar action was taker r* garding the petition of Henry McHaffy, of Drury. The petition of Thomas Seecombe. of Auckland, who seeks a remi-sion of land tax, was referred to the Government for favourable consideration. No recommendation is made in the cases of the following: William Standish, of Auckland, who desired a compassionate allowance on account of his launch having been stolen and sold; Richards Holmes and David Ferris Holmes, of Auckland, who sought a refund of stamp duties; George Horace Hawk, of Onehunga, who asked for a compassionate allowance fox services rendered as a cirl! servant:
