Claire Windsor as Elso Von Bergen, a titled German girl, is the heroine of the story, and with Conrad Nage) supplies the love interest. John Gilbert and Greta Garbo, who are said to have scored a triumph in “Flesh and the Devil,” will again costar in “Love,” which is based on Tolstoi’s “Anna Karenina.” In “Flesh and the Devil,” which has not yet been released in New Zealand, Gilbert was credited with having given his greatest performance since “The Big Parade.” Miss Garbo’s portrayal houpled with her two other appearances in “The Torrent” and “The Temptress,” won her stardom after little more than a year since she left her native Sweden.
