BUS PASSENGERS’ LUCKY ESCAPE

COLLISION V/ITH TRAIN Press Association. GREYMOUTH, Tuesday. A bus containing - four passengers, and driven by the owner. Mr. H. McGlashan, collided with a coal train from Rewanui, at the town end of the railway bridge, this afternoon. The bus was struck on its side and carried for 15 yards. In spite of two wheels coming off the bus, the vehicle remained upright, and nobody was hurt. The escape was a remarkable one, as the crossing is dangerous, there being a traffic bridge alongside the railway bridge.
