GREAT RACEHORSE AND SIRE
The Triumph, who is located at Mardella Stud Farm, is referred to by American experts as one of the greatest trotters that every left the States. Before leaving his native land he proved himself a thorough racehorse, as his record shows. Twelve starts
—five wins, two seconds and one third. He put up a half-mile track race record of 2.54, and in a trial effort registered 2.52* The son of The Exponent Mardella also proved himself a genuine sire before emigrating to the Dominion, and one of his sons, Rags, has
a pacing record of 2.7 J. Since taking up stud duties in New Zealand, The Triumph Has proved himself a good foal-get-ter, and the elder members of his stock, now receiving their initial education, are displaying wonderful promise and when they commence to race should keep their blue-blooded sire’s name prominently before the public.
